The Joy of Travelling on a Holiday

what i hate about travelling back to the province on a holiday is the pain in the ass it gives me. literally a pain coz' i'll be travelling for 2 extra hours than the usual 6 hours ride or worse. thanks to musicplayers for keeping me sane. i did fall asleep most of the time but waking up from time to time would really give one a headache, add the shouting of our friendly vendors selling food and water and the chance passengers trying to get decent seats.

i wasn't able to travel as early as friday night because i was invited by my officemate to attend his daughter's christening saturday morning. i was about to say pass but for some reason my officemates were able to convince me to go. heck, it'll be a long weekend anyway.

the initial plan is to give an envelop as a gift since the event starts at 10:30am. i have drawn a baby sketch on the envelop to make it more personal/special. i dunno what happened after coz' i found myself at the mall the next day. lol! anyway, we got there almost noon already coz' nobody knew where we're going and as much as i'd like to help, i am unaware of the area. thank goodness for gps.

we weren't able to attend the ceremony but to the reception instead.

after the party, i was excusing myself that i need to go to the bus station for fear of getting stucked in traffic if i travel a little later. an officemate asked if i could stay a little longer coz' she needs my help - taking pictures of this place (big red barn) which she'll be showing to her sister for her nephew's christening.

wow! i love that place. eveywhere i look, i see smiles on kids' faces. i'm pretty sure hugo (the nephew) will enjoy the party.

later on, we headed to a mall. finally my chance to go home. i bid them goodbye but for some reason i wasn't able to find my way out. where are the exits? the number of people increases as every minute passes. it's either most of the shops are on sale or it's just to hot out there so everyone decided to be cool. pre-mother's day shopping. i thought of buying a cake but travelling's a challenge so i plan to buy the next day when i get there.

as search for the best exit to lead me to the bus stop, my phone rang and it was from my officemate asking if i were still at the mall and if i wanted to have dinner. yes, my dear friends, dinner already. i was feeling hungry so i followed their instructions where's they're at. they were kind enough to show me the right way out after the meal. when i got there, i had issues of getting a seat. people were waiting and the bus are all full with people even standing in the middle area.

there was a bus offering a ride to the first bus stop. i took the bait and decided to get a ride there instead. i was hoping there will be better seats. oh boy, i never realized how wrong i was till i got there.

like in the mall, there were people waiting for buses and every minute, our number increases. i prayed that we may be provided a ride coz' i see buses coming in but every seat is consumed already with people standing.

there were buses who offered trips to the norther part but are charging too much. people started an uproar. it was a rally. how come people take advantage of the situation. when the cops arrive, they had the bus out of the terminal. boo to these kind of people.

my prayers were heard coz' there was this guy who whispered to my ear that there's a van looking for passengers travelling to baguio. i asked if they could drop me to my province since they'll be passing that way. i was told i'll be paying for the same fare the way others will.  sharing the blessing, i ran and looked for the guy i was talking to minutes ago about how crazy the rides are. he thanked me for asking him. my reason was to help get passengers so we may go now. it'll be a long trip after all.

from 8pm, i arrived to our house almost 5 in the morning. wow! that's 9 crazy hours. by the time i dropped my bag and sat at the sofa, the sun's about to shine.

and yeah, my butt's sore
